<p>I began to touch on this yesterday.  There are MANY ways to catapult yourself out of an emotionally low pit, and not all of those ways may be considered healthy.  So, I want to share a few of the healthy ways that I have discovered over the years and that seem to work beautifully.</p>

<p>I have been keeping a daily gratitude journal for a number of years.  However, some seasons I am more diligent to write in it on a daily basis than others.  The rules that I have set for myself are to list 5 things each day that I write in it AND I can’t be thankful for the same thing twice.  For example, I can’t just be thankful for my husband.  I have to write why I am thankful for him and if I am thankful for his thoughtfulness than I need to list specifically how he was thoughtful in order to not list something twice.  For example: “I am thankful my husband folded the laundry today since I have felt like a full time laundry specialist lately.”  Rarely do I have ‘moments’ repeat themselves.</p>
<p>3)   Greet the Day</p>
<p>Start the day watching the sunrise or greet the sun (if it has already risen) with this phrase, “Good morning!  I know something wonderful is going to happen today and I can’t wait to see what it is!”  There have been so many ways my life has been blessed by doing this simple act.  It puts me in a state of ‘expecting’ (which is perfect if you are already pregnantJ)….and expecting something wonderful!  And, wouldn’t you know, that ‘if a man thinketh, so is he’ or should I say ‘if a woman thinketh, so is she!’  Because I have an attitude of thinking something wonderful is going to happen, it usually does!  I seem to get what I look for…we all do…you’ll see!  Try this one, too!</p>

<p>I believe that if my friend was to stay committed to working out four days a week, each week of this year, she would be so happy with herself – and she would most likely lose those unwanted pounds too!  She doesn’t need to put pressure on herself to exercise like a Rock Star each of those 208 times.</p>
<p>Just imagine what would happen to our body, our families, and our nation if we were to commit to working out four days a week!?  So, be encouraged, you don’t have to exercise like a Rock Star…just exercise!</p>
