Ever since Chris Maricle and her husband shared the natural births of their three children, she has had a passion for birth and young families! She considers it a privilege to teach thousands of expectant couples — holding classes in her home, her church, medical facilities, and hospitals. She now offers classes in the comfortable surroundings of Family Medical Care of Tulsa, too.
After years of teaching secular birth classes, Chris discovered that a Christian approach to childbirth education provides a more complete and fulfilling preparation for expectant couples.
Her eight years on the Board of Directors of the International Childbirth Education Association (ICEA) and her four years as a Reviewer for the International Journal of Childbirth Education have enhanced her perspective on birth. The many births she has attended continue to inspire her with the creative miracle that is birth. Chris’ work in parent education has given her the background to help families with their most challenging and yet most rewarding job–parenting!
