Kristen Ross, your ‘Coach’ for the PregoFIT Workouts, is a certified Personal Trainer and Exercise Physiologist in Health & Human Performance for over 12 years. She has her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Clinical Wellness and a minor in Chemistry and Nutrition. She is a recognized Prenatal and Postpartum Fitness Consultant by OBGYNs, birthing centers and lactation consultants. As a certified Healthcare Professional, Kristen has an international reputation for offering women healthy, innovative workouts designed around the ACOG’s recommendations to enhance themselves, their pregnancies, and their baby’s health. In addition to being a prenatal/postpartum fitness expert, Kristen is a speaker, blogger and Life Coach. She has appeared in multiple national publications and television segments.
As a leading fitness expert for Moms and Moms-to-be, Kristen created the PregoFIT Workouts and founded the company, PregoFIT, in 2008. She has a passion for helping women who are pregnant, or considering pregnancy, properly prepare their bodies for the different stages of pregnancy, as well as helping Moms lose their pregnancy weight after delivery. In 2011, she launched the PregoFIT Movement hoping to expand PregoFIT’s voice across the globe that ‘a healthy baby begins with Mom’. In 2012, she created PregoFIT.com, a community website supporting healthy Moms and healthy Babies through fitness and nutrition. The website was created for women in all seasons of life — trying to conceive, pregnant women, and postpartum moms — interested in customized workouts, as well as connecting with each other. Thus, the PregoFIT Club was born! To further strengthen the support for the prenatal and postpartum population, PregoFIT.com equips fitness/health professionals interested in becoming a PregoFIT Coach and provides companies with the PregoFIT Corporate Prenatal/Postnatal Wellness program to insure their pregnant employees are healthy and to support them losing the excess pregnancy weight properly after baby. For those wanting to give back, the PregoFIT Movement is advancing into a PregoFIT Philanthropy program and even beloved PregoFIT Dads can workout along side Mom and their growing Baby!
Kristen and her husband, Aamon, have three little girls, Hayden Delight (5 years), Koah Hope (4 years), and Kade Marie (12 months). As parents, they know first-hand, the importance of exercise and nutrition starting at a young age. Kristen balances work and family life fairly easily because her husband is her business partner and he is extremely business savvy, understanding, and an amazing father! They work extremely well together in prioritizing the girls before business details, responsibilities, and deadlines, yet still giving PregoFIT the time and attention it needs to run smoothly.
Kristen loves being a Mom! She is humbled and daily thankful for the opportunity to write on her kid’s hearts and minds. Her prayers and guidance are that they become women who know and love the God that created them, learn to trust Him in everything, and believe He is good…all the time! She believes that purposefully modeling these characteristics is the greatest way to influence and encourage them.
Kristen was in her thirties when she became pregnant with her second daughter. It was during this pregnancy that she created the PregoFIT Workouts so Moms could follow along with each month of her pregnancy. Kristen had completely different experiences with each of her pregnancies and so she developed the PregoFIT Workouts offering optional exercises as well as modifications. She understands the complexities of fatigue, nausea, hormones, and the roller-coaster ride of different energy levels. She desired to create total-body, monthly workouts perfect for the differences that each pregnancy brings, as well as what “each day” brings.
She considers it an honor and a privilege to be invited into the homes of so many Moms or Moms-to-be. She is passionate about the heart of PregoFIT, that ‘a healthy baby begins with Mom!‘ She loves encouraging and equipping Moms to live more healthy in every aspect of their lives — physically, relationally, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. When she is not with her wonderful husband or spending time with her precious girls, she is busy with PregoFIT. Kristen had so much fun creating the PregoFIT Movement, the PregoFIT Workouts, the PregoFIT Club, and the variety of programs for PregoFIT.com, knowing she was improving lives along the way!
