We at PregoFIT understand the importance of healthy– so we also understand the importance of eating the most important meal of the day…breakfast! We have found a tasty and healthy breakfast parfait that is so good you’ll DEFINITELY make time for it! Ingredients 1/3 cup apricot preserves 3 cups sliced strawberries 2 cups low-fat vanilla yogurt 1/2 cup low-fat granola without raisins (such as Kellogg’s) 2 tablespoons slivered almonds, toasted Preparation Place apricot preserves in a medium microwave-safe bowl, and microwave at high for 10 to 15 seconds or until preserves melt. Add strawberries, and toss gently to coat. Spoon 1/4 cup yogurt into each of 4 parfait glasses; top each serving with 1/3 cup strawberry mixture. Repeat the layers with the remaining yogurt and strawberry mixture. Top each serving with 2 tablespoons granola and 1 1/2 teaspoons almonds. You can eat right away (read more…)

Read moreI began to touch on this yesterday. There are MANY ways to catapult yourself out of an emotionally low pit, and not all of those ways may be considered healthy. So, I want to share a few of the healthy ways that I have discovered over the years and that seem to work beautifully. 1) Nuzzle your nose up against your newborn’s head, take a deep breath, and inhale the sweet and innocent aroma of your newborn’s head. I believe this is a natural endorphin. Whenever I breathe in deeply my baby’s head, it helps settle me. There is an energy-high that I experience combined with a strong sense of peace that everything is going to be okay. Read moreSo, I am fully convinced that in this season of my life – specifically through the vehicle of PregoFIT – I am supposed to be more vulnerable and open. What is so ironic is that this season I feel the most insecure! My body still has pounds to shed from the pregnancy; I can pull more flab than ever before; I am having to wear some dental appliances in order to straighten my teeth; and four days ago I got highlights in my hair and it turned out gray and green – depends who you ask!! I say gray and my husband says green. ;) Anyway, I would greatly appreciate your words of encouragement!! After all, ‘words of affirmation’ are my love language.
