My name is Kristen Ross. I have been a certified personal trainer and exercise fitness specialist for over 13 years as well as a Prenatal/Postpartum Fitness Consultant. My first chapter of mommyhood began in 2007 when I found out I was pregnant with my first daughter (as they say, necessity is the mother of all invention and that’s how pregoFIT was born!).
Knowing the importance of fitness and nutrition during pregnancy, I began vigorously researching exercise DVD’s for this new chapter in my life. I quickly realized that the exercise programs available were general workouts for the entire season of pregnancy. It didn’t take long before my body was changing and my baby was growing. As a health professional, I could tell that there was an immediate need for an exercise program that specifically addressed each stage of pregnancy, and even programs that specifically designed for women trying to concieve and trying to keep their bodies fit after pregnancy (after all the importance of being a healthy Mom isn’t limted to pregnancy).
After countless hours of research, I began designing an exercise program that uses the ACOG (American College of Obstetrician and Gynecology) guidelines for working out while pregnant. With my passion for all Moms to be fit and healthy and my own personal need for an exercise program, I created the PregoFIT Workouts. The PregoFIT Prenatal Workouts is the only certified exercise program that is designed specifically for each month of pregnancy. I often hear of women who get pregnant and stop all forms of exercise to avoid hurting their baby. The body thrives on healthy nutrients and exercise. What better time to start these healthy habits than when you are bringing a miracle into the world?
As a Mom, the last thing I wanted to do while pregnant is look at a 23-year-old hard body showing me how to exercise. That’s when the idea came for me to create the monthly workouts while I was pregnant so we could experience the pregnancy journey together while getting fit! After all, it can be a challenge to even touch your toes in that last month (I know this first hand). At the end of the nine months of filming, the PregoFIT Prenatal Workouts were born. Within time, I developed the PregoFIT Postpartum Workouts to help Moms lose those prego pounds, as well as the PregoFIT Trying To Conceive Workouts to help prepare the body for a healthy pregnancy, and a full-term delivery.
